About Marlborough Gulf
Marlborough Gulf is a cross-border wealth planning firm in Dubai. Since 2012 we have worked with internationally mobile families: people whose homes, businesses and assets sit in more than one country, and who need where they live, how their wealth is held and who inherits it planned together, rather than one adviser and one country at a time.
What we do
A family that moves, or that already lives across borders, meets several systems of law at once: the tax rules of the country it is leaving, the residence and company rules of the UAE, and the succession law of every country where it holds assets. We plan across all of them, in the order the deadlines demand, and coordinate the firms that put the plan in place.
What we carry out ourselves:
- forming and administering UAE companies, including RAK ICC companies
- accounting and bookkeeping
- UAE tax consultancy
- planning and coordinating the whole matter
What licensed firms carry out:
- legal drafting
- private banking
- insurance
- regulated financial advice
Where a plan needs one of these, we introduce a licensed specialist and coordinate their work. The client appoints and contracts with them directly. Where a trust is used, a licensed trust company acts as trustee, and we coordinate with it.

Our licences
Marlborough Gulf DMCC was registered in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre free zone on 16 December 2012. It holds DMCC licence JLT-68000, covering:

We are also a registered agent of RAK International Corporate Centre (RAK ICC), the Ras Al Khaimah registry for international companies.
Our team
Marlborough Gulf is led by Kris Bhalla, Founder and CEO. He founded the firm in Dubai in 2012, after 7 years in banking in London and Guernsey with trust companies, international high-net-worth families and property finance. Our clients' plans draw on Swiss private banks, insurers and law firms. Each is licensed for what it does, and clients appoint and contract with them directly.
